The current main responsibilities of this role are as follows:

- Administration of Database servers and installations of new servers
- Ensuring optimum performance and availability of Database systems
- Ensuring Backups and validity of data structures
- Controlling Security and access to Database systems
- Ongoing upgrade and maintenance of database versioning
- Development and Design Consulting to IT Account/Applications teams & business users
- DR planning and testing
- Participation in roster for 24/7 production support and weekend scheduled works
- Operating within Service Support and Service Delivery framework for DBA team (i.e. ITIL procedures for Change Control)
- DBA's will have a minimum of 5 years demonstrable database administration experience & will be comfortable working on your own initiative in a rapidly changing environment.
