Skill Set:

-Handle matters concerning the court on legal issues arising out of Claims handled by the Company
-To recommend or undertake appropriate legal action in circumstances of disputes.
Prepare cases for court by conducting investigations, undertaking research and giving notice of court actions
-Represent the company in court outlining the facts to the court, calling and questioning witnesses, and making addresses to the court to argue the company’s case
-Monitor and liaise with Legal Consultants /Solicitors /Lawyers who are representing the company and act as a focal point in the company for all legal issues
-Update the Management on the Pending court cases arising out of claims or other issues on a regular basis
-Receives written information in the form of briefs and verbal instructions concerning cases from solicitors, other specialist law professionals where required.
-To receive and track changes to the various Laws, Rules and regulations affecting the Operations of the company in normal course of business
-Preparing and overseeing Contracts and agreements originating from the company or where the company is a party to the contract for Legal issues and act in the best interests of the company.
Secretarial
-To Act as a Secretary to the Board and other Operational Committees constituted.
-To arrange and give notice of meetings of directors and shareholders, attend board and other internal meetings,
Direct the preparation of agendas, minutes, resolutions and associated records of proceedings

Experience:
Minimum 10 years experience in handling commercial and civil disputes and preferably 3-5 years experience as Legal Advisor in the Corporate Sector
Education:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Law or LLB

ABC Consultants is servicing a prestigious semi-government conglomerate in Dubai, that provides complete infrastructure project services for the marine industry, which is seeking a high-caliber professional to join their dynamic team.

Successful candidate will be reporting to the Legal Management Head. You will be accountable for overall legal issues pertaining to contracts, agreements, policies and legal documents in line with the tasks given by upper management, as well as acting as a consultant on various legal matters.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

* Working with international and commercial legal procedures.
* Providing analysis and counseling on legal documents and policies such as: protecting intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions, financial offerings, financial structuring, securities offerings, compliance issues for a pre-IPO company, ESOP transactions, nondisclosure agreements, and outsourcing agreements.
* Providing advice on labor relations and employee contracts, write and administer vendor & client contracts, patents, and contracts between business units and outsourcing parties.
* Anticipating and guarding against legal risks facing the company, develop and recommend company policy & procedural improvements between departments, and keep the company up to date on new business laws and regulations.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5-7 years Corporate law experience, at least 3 years of which is in UAE. He/she must have a Law degree, preferably with Masters from an accredited law school, and must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. He/she must have solid experience in contracts as well as in depth knowledge of UAE and International law. He/she should come from a reputable legal firm or from a multinational/international organization, specialized in international and commercial law, and with license to practice law in UAE. The ability to analyze law cases and provide recommendations, contractual knowledge, tendering, and documentations are required.
